Interview Questions:

#1 (Student)
1.What do you think is the reason the gate got closed during school hours?
-Because the administration wants to make it easier for the parents and teachers to get in the upper parking lot.
2.Do you have to leave earlier now then you did before it got closed?
-Yes, a few mintures because there are now so many people at the light and it takes forever to get to school on 140th.
3.How do the drivers on the road react to waiting in line to turn?
-They are annoyed or else thye just sit there because they are tired.
4.Do you think by the gate being closed it has helped "traffic jams" go faster?
-No, it made them worse and traffic doesnt flow on 140th so people who arent going to school get stuck and get mad.
5.What are the positive and negatives of the gate being closed?
-Negatives= its obnoxious and increases traffic but they dont care because we are students, and only want to make facilty and parents happy.

#2 (Teacher/facilty)
1.Who do you think decided to close the gate?
-Dawn
2.What is the purpose of closing the gate?
-less traffic between the students and parents.
3.Did you use the upper gate to get into the parking lot, and how has it affected you being closed now?
-Yes, it makes my mornings more stressful then i would hope for.
4.Do you think it wil remain closed the rest of the year and why?
-Hopefully not, i think if enough of the student body complains, they will have to listen!
5.What would you suggest to help eliminate the traffic jam in front of school?
-open the gate and let things flow naturally, and they will. there is no use in trying to contol it when it is frustrating to the students and facilty.

#3 (Student)
1.Do you feel less students will drive to school now?
-i think that kids who will drivet to school but might carpool more.
2.Do you think the change will hurt or help drivers on their way to school?
-Hurt, for sure. they just get so frustrated.
3.Do you think there will be more accidents because of all the cars rushing to school?
-Yes, there is way more traffic and drivers who don't go to the school dont know what way to go, causing more traffic.
4.Whats an improvement you would suggest to the district/facilty to make entering the school easier?
-keep the gate open. there will be less traffic and kids wont be late to school (first hour)
5.Have you had to change your driving route because of the congestion in the front of the school?
-yes, i use to go thru the gate but now i cant, i have to now wait for the light and go thru more traffic.
